Halloween Spider Cake Recipe
Spiders are spooky, no matter which way you slice it, and when you slice into this Halloween Spider Cake, you are in for a gooey surprise! Your kids will love this Halloween treat, a great cake for any Halloween party! Serve it with spider cookies and graveyard cake and your house will be the most spook-tacular on the block!

- 1 box white cake mix an daccompanying ingredients needed to make a cake
- 1 (4-serving) package green gelatin
- blue food coloring
- chocolate frosting
- 4 black licorice whips
- 2 big green gumballs
- Instructions

Prepare the cake using 2 9-inch round cake pans. Set aside to cool.

Prepare the gelatin according to package directions. It works best if the gelatin is just a little on the soft side.

On a foil-covered cookie-sheet, place one cake layer; this will be the spider's body.

Dig a small well in the first cake and fill it with gelatin.
5.
Place the other cake layer on top of the body and trim cake slightly to shape , if desired.
6.
Prepare frosting in a mixing bowl: add blue food coloring to the chocolate frosting until it is black in color.
7.
Frost the entire cake.
8.
Cut the black licorice whips in half and insert for the eight legs. Position the gumballs as eyes.
