Filled Easter Eggs Recipe
It is great to find Easter recipes that your kids can make and serve at your Easter celebration! Your older children can make these make these delicious Filled Easter Eggs, or you can add a homemade Easter Egg Nest to an Easter basket, or serve the Easter Bunny Fruit Salad with brunch. Your kids will love being able to participate!
- Ingredients

- 2 packages unflavored gelatin dissolved in
- ½ cup cold water
- 3/4 cup water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ½ pound sweetened baking chocolate
- flour
- muffin tins
- wax paper
- Instructions

Boil sugar, water and salt until thread stage.

Add gelatin and heat until thick and stands in peaks. Add ½ teaspoon vanilla. Beat for about 20 minutes.

To make the eggs shapes fill muffin tins with flour. Make an indent in the flour with a real egg. Pour candy mixture into molds. Let set.
4.
Melt chocolate candy according to the instructions on the package.
5.
Dip prepared eggs into chocolate mixture and place on a sheet of waxed paper until set.
6.
When the egg coating has hardened you can melt another color of melting chips and decorate or drizzle.
- Tips
- For the melting chocolate, you can use white "almond bark" from the grocery store. You'll also find Wilton's Candy Melts at a larger craft store. They come in beautiful Easter Colors!
