Ingredients
  • plain, round doughnut
  • 1-2 regular size marshmallows (depending on the size of the doughnut)
  • 4-6 pieces of white melting chocolates
  • yellow or light orange food color
Instructions
    1.
Slice the doughnut in half to look like a sliced bagel.

    2.
Place a marshmallow on top of one half of the doughnut, and place it in the microwave. Melt the marshmallow at 10 to 15-second intervals until the it expands and melts (probably two 15-second intervals, or about 30 seconds total, but microwaves may vary).

    3.
Remove the doughnut half and marshmallow from the microwave and swirl it around a little to shape the marshmallow like an egg white, you can also carefully use a spoon to help flatten the marshmallow if it's not flat enough. A tiny bit of oil on the bottom of the spoon will keep it from sticking.
    4.
Place the other half of the doughnut on the plate beside the half with the marshmallow egg white.
    5.
Melt the white chocolate according to the package directions, and add the yellow food coloring. You can also buy yellow or orange melting chocolates if you don't want to color the chocolate yourself.
    null
    6.
Use a teaspoon to drop about a teaspoon of the melted yellow chocolate on top of your marshmallow egg whites. Shake the "sandwich" to even out the chocolate so it looks like an egg yolk.

    7.
Serve up your bagel and egg sweet treat for a April Fool's Day surprise.
