This Halloween witch is a craft and a treat in one. This Witch Lollipop is perfect for Halloween parties, Scout troop meetings, or as a classroom party treat!

Materials
  • black plastic spoons (sturdy plastic)
  • green Candy Melts (craft store)
  • craft foam sheets or felt (black and green)
  • black yarn
  • orange yarn
  • wax or parchment paper
  • clear cellophane wrap
  • plastic wiggle eyes
  • red permanent marker
  • glue dots or craft glue stick
Instructions
    1.
Cut and place a large sheet of parchment paper on a table or counter.
    2.
Follow the melting instructions provided with the candy melts. When the candy has melted, dip the spoons into the candy. Dip/scoop enough to fill and cover the spoon.
    3.
Lay the spoon top up on the parchment paper to cool.
    4.
Cut the necessary shapes from craft foam or felt: black triangle and brim for the hat, green triangle nose, and possibly a small red piece for the mouth.
    5.
Use craft glue or glue dots to attach the two hat pieces together.
    6.
Cut yarn pieces for the witch's hair and glue them onto the brim of the hat (sides only).
    7.
When the candy is completely cooled, wrap the the top with a square of clear cellophane. Use black and orange ribbon or yard to secure the cellophane to the top of the candy spoon. You will make the face on the flat part of the candy spoon.
    8.
Use glue dots to attach the eyes, nose, and finally the hat (with hair) to the spoon.
    9.
Use a permanent marker to draw a mouth (yarn, paper, or craft foam may also work ).
Tips
  • I don't always like the flavor of the colored candy melts. Using white or regular chocolate melts will also work. You can then wrap your witch pops with green cellophane if you still want a green witch.
  • Make sure you do not use a hot glue gun to attach the witch pieces or your candy will melt.
