Everyone can be Irish on St. Patrick's Day! Start a new St. Patrick's Day tradition with these easy-to-make shamrock cards.

Materials
  • card stock paper or water color paper
  • water color paints
  • toothbrush
  • water
  • scissors
  • newspaper or washable placemat
Instructions
    1.
    Cut shamrocks in a few sizes from the paper.
    2.
    Cut and fold the paper to make your cards and place them onto newspaper or a washable placemat.
    3.
    Place the shamrocks on the front of the card in any configuration you like.
    4.
    Add water to the paints and a little on the toothbrush as well.
    5.
    Apply paint to the bristles of the tooth brush. "Splatter paint" the entire card by running your finger across the toothbrush bristles. When you remove the shamrocks you will see the reverse print or "shadow".
Tips
  • You can make stationery using this painting method! Use leaves, shells and other objects to create your shape and decorate envelopes to match!
