I'm in love with the new wraps that are popping up everywhere for cupcakes! They're super fun, really cute, and—best of all—they're easy to make. Lately, I've been inspired by Easter and so I thought, why not make my own Easter Bunny Cupcake Wrappers? They turned out simply adorable. They make a perfect favor/treat for a school party, an Easter Sunday brunch, or you can give them out to family and friends as Easter gifts.

Materials
  • card stock or scrapbook paper in pastel colors (I used pink and white)
  • googly eyes
  • small and medium pom-poms
  • markers of various colors
  • jumbo cupcakes made from your favorite recipe or mix
  • your favorite icing (homemade or store-bought)
  • food coloring
  • shredded coconut (optional)
  • decorator bags and tips
  • scissors
  • craft glue and/or scrapbook tape
  • stapler
  • Easter Bunny Cupcake Wrapper pattern (you can make your own or print out this one)
Instructions
    1.
Bake your cupcakes according to package or recipe directions. I used jumbo cupcakes, but you can use regular size cupcakes, if you want; simply adjust your measurements down to fit.
    2.
While the cupcakes are baking, print out this Easter Bunny Cupcake Wrapper pattern. If you don't have a printer, or if you prefer to make your own pattern, follow these steps:
    1. Collect a piece of paper, a pencil, and a ruler
    2. Make the Wrapper pattern by drawing a long strip that is 10 inches long by 1 ¾ inches wide (Refer to this image if you're unsure).
    3. Make the Outside Ear and Feet pattern by drawing a strip that is 3 ½ inches long by 1 ½ inches wide with one end rounded. (Refer to this image if you're unsure)
    4. Make the Inside Ear pattern by drawing a strip that is 3 inches long by 1 inch wide with one ended rounded. (Refer to this image if you're unsure).
    3.
Cut out your pattern from cardstock or scrapbook paper. For each cupcake, you must cut 1 Wrapper, 4 Outside Ear/Feet, and 2 Inside Ears. Be creative with your colors!
    4.
Use craft glue to glue 2 googly eyes and 1 small pom-pom to the center of each Wrapper (see picture) to create a Bunny Face; add a Bunny Mouth using a marker. Set the Wrappers aside to let the glue dry for a few minutes.

    5.
Once the glue has dried, create circles with the Wrappers and fasten the back with a staple.

    6.
Glue the Inside Ears to the center of the Outside Ears so the Outside Ear is showing all the way around like a border. Lay the Ears aside to dry.
    7.
Use a marker to draw toes on the Bunny Feet.

    8.
Glue a medium pom-pom to the back of the Wrapper for the Bunny Tail.

    9.
Use a little tape and glue to secure the Bunny Ears to the back of the Wrappers so they will show above the cupcake in the back. To hold the ears in place while they dry, use paper clips. Set Wrappers aside.

    10.
Color your favorite decorator icing with food coloring to match your Cupcake Wrappers.
    11.
Decorate the cupcakes with your favorite decorating tip, or smooth the icing over the cupcakes with a knife. If you want, you can sprinkle shredded coconut on top of the icing to look like the hair on the top of the Bunny's Head.
    12.
Once the glue is completely dry, carefully insert the decorated cupcakes into the Wrappers.
    13.
Slide two feet under each cupcake.
