BIRTHDAY PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES

Older kids will enjoy a viewing of one of the many Superman® movies, then you can follow it up with a couple of games, cake and gifts. When entertaining younger children, skip the movie and get right to the party games and activities!

Welcome your guests with their very own Superman® cape to wear throughout the party. It's really not difficult to crate a superhero cape using no-fray fabric such as felt or knit. You could also give your special heroes their own Superman® masks.

Superman® Training Course

To carry out the job of saving the planet, Superman® must be in tip-top shape. You'll need a large safe space, lawn furniture, boards to balance on, ropes to climb over, tires etc. Let the guests run the course as many times as they'd like.

Superman® Saves the World Relay

Use a large appliance box, a red cape with a Velcro fastener and an inflatable globe for each team. Several days before the party, use a utility knife (adults only!) to cut windows and a door in the appliance boxes to fashion your phone booths. At the party. divide the guests into teams. Mark a starting line with tape or cones. Place the phone booths a reasonable distance from the start. The first player from each team will race to the "booth", put on the cape, pick up the globe and return to the team to pass off the cape and globe to the next racer. That player puts on the cape, picks up the globe, runs to the booth, removes the cape etc. then returns to the team. Play continues until all of the players have completed their turn. The first team to finish wins.

Kryptonite Keep-Away

this game is played just like Hot Potato, but for little Kryptonians!

Players will form a circle. Play the Superman® theme music while the children pass a green ball or glow-stick around the circle. When the music stops suddenly, the player still holding the ball or glue stick loses their powers and sits out for one round. This player can be in charge of the stereo for one round.

,b>Superman's® Cape

Play this as a modified version of Pin the tail on the Donkey. Have the players take turns trying to place an "S" on Superman's® chest.

Who Am I?

This is a traditional party game using Superman® Trivia. Use a trivia book or Internet resource to gather your Superman® character names and facts. Before the party, Write your trivia answers on mailing label stickers. To play, place a sticker on the back of each player. Don't let the players read their stickers. The object of the game, is to ask questions of the other players until you have received enough clues to guess the answer on your back. This game will last longer and be more challenging if the questions are formatted for only yes or no responses. Here are some examples:
Can I fly?
Am I a reporter?
Do I wear tights?
Am I Superman®?

Superman® Buzz-Bomb Balloons

You can transform this game for the Superman® theme by painting planets or the Superman® Logo on the target. Click here for instructions to this party game.
