Directions
Make a cone by turning the edges of the paper plate in and over each other a bit. Staple the touching edges together once or twice to hold secure.

Now use a hole punch to make lacing holes along the top edge. Keep a space in the back if you plan on hanging the favor cup (you'll need to make the loop). Use an even number of holes, so thet both of your ribbon ends will be outside of the cup for tying a bow.
Now lace your ribbon in and out of the holes. Leave enough ribbon on the ends to allow for a tied knot and/or bow. If you want to hang the cup, leave some ribbon slack in the center of the back - just enough to hang from a door knob. - please see images for additonal help.

Quick tip :You can skip the lacing step and simply punch a hole on either side of your cone and then tie a simple loop and bow with your ribbon.

Now wrap the lace doily around the front and secure it with a glue stick - then decorate with stickers and such.
You can even print out quotes from your computer
using a romantic script. Then glue or tie your message to the cone.
Fill with candy or cookies and you have a great Valentine's Day party favor.
TIPS: Add a small piece of nylon netting, Easter grass, tissue or fabric to the inside of the cup before filling with candy.
