Share a piece of your heart with this clever homemade Valentine.
A perfect use for old puzzles and a great project idea for classrooms
and scout troops!
heart puzzle gift for Valentine's Day
Materials
Puzzle pieces
Red spray paint
Poster board or cardstock paper
Newspaper
Glue

Place old jigsaw puzzle pieces, excluding the straight-edged
border pieces, on newspaper and spray-paint them red,
pink or purple (brush-applied paint will also work).
Let the pieces dry thoroughly before gluing them into a heart shape.
It easier to glue the pieces onto white poster board cut into a heart shape. This provides a guideline to follow and makes the heart shape more durable. Glue the puzzle pieces randomly. Stack a few pieces for texture.
Options:
Small hearts can be made into lapel pins by attaching a pin backing with hot-glue...or you can add a ribbon for hanging
on the wall or door or turn your heart into a magnet with self-sticking magnetic strip (craft store).

If you have extra puzzle pieces make a puzzle pin.
