Beading and braiding is very popular with girls ages 8-14 so, this theme
is sure to please. The entire birthday party is filled with beading activities!
You'll use standard decorations, balloons streamers etc. with a lot of color.
A white sheet table covering with scattered glitter or candy for
"pizzazz". Add fun additions to decorating: Lava lights, colored bulbs in small lamps,
black lights and pillows everywhere for the "girl talk "time.
Play music, and provide snacks and help if necessary,
Girls over 10 will enjoy less supervision.
You'll need; tubes or bags of beads, thread, needles, latches, bead trays, candy, maybe some fimo clay to make beads at home. Place all of the items in small personalized plastic storage boxes. This is a great task for the birthday girl!
Beading Party Activities
Beading necklaces, anklets, bracelets
You'll need :
A variety of beads can be purchased by the tube or strings & a "special" bead for each guest i.e. Their initial, smile face or flower. Clasps, Beading thread or fishing line, Beading tray for each guest. These are usually ~ 50 cents each and can then be given as a party favor.

Braiding
Friendship bracelets, chokers, and key chains
You'll need :
Hemp or twine.
Cardboard work pieces 6"x10"
Clips for the top of board.
A few beads with Large holes for chokers.

Making Beads
Make unique beads with rolled
paper and glue. Cut long triangles from wrapping and wallpaper. Wrap tightly around a nail and glue the end. Practice making beads before the party, until you get the hang of it.

Clothes Pin 7-up Game
Add a party game in between beading activities.
Give each player 7 clothes pins. On "go" each person must get rid of their clothes pins by pinning them on someone else. Only one pin per person!
The game continues for about 5 minutes or more, depending on how much fun you're having!
On STOP, the winner is the one with the least amount of pins!
Teens love to munch!
Provide a fun variety of finger foods: Veggies and ranch dip
Melon balls in a glass bowl. Bowls of M&M's, Hershey kisses, Fruit "Runts", Charms pops, Sour Warheads etc.
They also add great color to a party! Place them around the room especially where the girls will gather most.
-Make your own pizza's
With prepared pizza crust,
sauce, cheese and toppings.
bake according to the package instructions.
