An action packed birthday party for superhero fans!
A complete Justice League birthday party plan with superhero games, activities decorations and crafts.
We now have a new Superman Birthday Party as well!
Justice League Party Supplies
Unfortunately, the Justice League party pattern seems to have been discontinued...Not to worry, you can still create a fabulous super hero theme with a little ingenuity and this mom-created party guide!
There are patterns for Batman and Superman. Combine those with solid colored party products, balloons, streamers, posters and images you've gathered from the internet.
Try making your own centerpiece using favorite super hero toys as a balloon bouquet weight. Cut images you've gathered from the Internet or comic books.

JUSTICE LEAGUE -SUPERHERO DECORATIONS
Decorate your party area with matching balloons, streamers, posters, action figures and of course a well decorated party table.
Use a table cover, matching plates, napkins etc.
Place three or four large actions figures in the center of the table forming a circle. Place a weighted bouquet of balloons in the middle of the circle.
Advanced decorations - create the Hall of Justice by
decorating large boxes to look like computers and other machinery. Use a large piece of butcher paper or a white
sheet to make a screen with a map of the world on it
and hang it behind the party table.
SUPERHERO PARTY GAMES
select 3-4 games and one craft activity
Superhero for a Day
When the children arrive for the party give every child a cape and mask. Cut large rectangles (about 45"x35") from red, blue, and yellow non-fraying, fabric and simply tie two corners together. Enlist another adult or teenager to face paint masks on each child. A simple mask outline will do.
Tip: Use Pinking shears to cut the fabric.
This will prevent the fabric from unraveling during the party.
Add super hero stick-on emblems to caps or shirts.
Find Green Lantern's Ring
Green Lantern has no power without his ring!
Hide several green plastic rings (party store) around the party area. The children will try to find as many rings as possible.
You can limit the children to only 1,2, or 3 rings if you prefer.
Follow Flash
Play just like follow the leader. The children will take turns putting on a
red cape or a special red hat that you have decorated with lightening bolts. When they are wearing the hat, they are the leader.
They can run, jump dance...the other players follow.
Superhero Relay
Separate your guests into teams. Use Superhero characters to name your teams; Superman, Aquaman etc. Give each player a matching arm band to represent their character - red - Flash, green-Green Lantern, Black-Batman etc. Provide each team with a medium sized ball.
To play, each team will form a single-file line. Give the first person in line a ball. When the game begins, the first person will pass the ball over his/her head to the player behind him. That player passes the ball between their legs to the next player. This passing pattern continues - over, under over under, until the last player in line receives the ball. Then the play reverses back through the line the first person again. The first team to pass the ball front to back and back again -- wins!
Keep the teams and arm bands for more skill games like an obstacle course, bean bag toss etc.
Superhero Targets
Keep the children in the super hero teams you created with the previous game. Make an "X" target on a large piece of butcher paper, white
sheet or cardboard. To play the game, give each child an un-inflated
balloon to match their team colors and form a circle around the signal.
Have them inflate their balloons (may need adult help) but DON'T tie
them. When you say "GO" -
The children will let go of their balloons and aim them at the target
trying to land on it. The color closest to the target, is the winning super hero team. Play this several times giving everyone a
candy or small prize when the game is over.
Tip: Use a permanent marker to mark initials on the balloons
to avoid germ sharing.
Justice League
Training Course
Being a super hero takes strength and agility.
Develop those skills with a fun obstacle course. It's best to have an obstacle course game in a large room or outdoors.?Use household items such as chairs, pillows, sleeping bags, hula hoops, old tires or anything
you can find to create a challenging course. Show the children how to
run the course from beginning to end to avoid chaos. Play exciting music?and off they go. Every time
a player reaches the end of the course
they'll receive a sticker, candy or small prize.
Pin the "S" on Superman-
Play this just like Pin the Tail on the Donkey except use a
poster of Superman instead of a donkey. Make some Superman S's and place
double stick tape on the back of each one. Blind fold the players one at a time.
Players take turns trying to get their
S closest to the proper location
on his suit.
SUPER HERO PARTY CRAFTS
Bat Planes
Provide black paper, batman stickers and gel pens
for making Bat Planes.
Justice League
Door Hanger
Kids will have fun making their own super hero door hanger
Use precut foam door hangers and foam shapes (craft store), Gel pens,
glitter glue, stickers etc.
Place all of the items on a covered table and let the children
be creative. They can draw the super hero, write their name, make
Superman's "S" or a batman symbol...
Little hands may need more assistance.
TIP: You can find foam with sticky backs to avoid
glue drying time.
Comic Character
Magnets
Before the party cut the super heroes from old or new comic books. Give
these to the children with a glue stick and some
flexible magnetic sheets (craft store). Glue the character onto the
magnetic backing and cut to the shape of your character.
Tip: You can also use the magnets you receive from business,
doctors etc.
