STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE PARTY INVITATIONS
Send invitations 2-3 weeks before the party.
Make your own invitations using card stock paper, scissors
and gel pens to write your message and party information.
Don't forget to purchase matching envelopes.
Use pink paper to cut hat shapes. Write this message on the hat:
"We're celebrating a "berry" special day
  and you're invited!"

Then, use red paper to cut strawberry shapes. Write your party details
on the card. Cut a slit in the hat , just wide enough to fit the strawberry.
Insert the strawberry into the hat.
Your local scrap booking center will have die-cut machines
or shapes available for your use.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
Pin the Stem on the Strawberry
Play just as you would Pin the tail on the Donkey.
Make a large strawberry shape with red poster board.
Cut a green stem for each player.
Write their names on one side and use double sided tape on the other.

Puzzler
Before the party -- Print out Strawberry Shortcake pictures from the Internet or use a coloring book. Attach each picture onto some construction paper with a glue stick.
Cut the pictures into 2, 3, or 4 puzzle pieces.
Hide the pieces around the party area. The children each
need to find one puzzle piece and then find the the players with the matching piece/s.

Bean Bag Berry Toss
Before the party, decorate a large cardboard box to resemble a berry bush. Cut the top flaps off of the box to keep it open. Make or purchase red or blue beanbags. Mark an ?X? on the floor with tape.
The children will take turns standing on the "X" and attempt to toss the berries into the bush.
Variation: Fill the "Berry Basket", using a green milk crate as the basket.

Pupcake's Mess
Everyone knows Pupcake is a bit of a mess maker.
He has spilled all of the berries throughout the land and Strawberry Shortcake needs the children's help to clean up the mess.
Use wrapped strawberry candies (or other candy). Scatter and hide the "berries" before the party. Give each child an empty plastic berry basket
for collecting. Children can play this in teams or individually.

Berry Patch Walk
Before the party, cut several berries from felt (enough for each player).
Use a permanent marker to make a number on each berry.
Place the berries on the  floor in a circle. Play music while the
children step from one berry to another. Stop the music and
call out a number - the player on that number will receive
a small prize (sticker or candy). Keep playing until all
of the players have received a prize or two.

Plant Strawberry Plants
If your party is in the correct planting season...
provide a strawberry plant starter, soil and a small
planting pot for the kids to make a plant to take home.

Thumbprint Strawberries
This is great for parties with under 6 children.
Use white card stock paper, two or three red ink pads and green markers. The children will use their finger and thumbprints to make berries. Then use the green markers to make the stems. Or, cut green stems from paper and attach them with a glue stick.

Strawberryland Caps
All of the characters in Strawberryland have their own
special hats. The children at your party can make their
own hats to take home. Use Craft foam visors (craft store), stick on jewels, shapes, feathers, gel pens etc. to decorate the visors.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE CAKE AND TREATS
Strawberry shortcake is the favorite dessert to serve for this theme.
Insert matching cupcake picks in the top of each dessert.

Or...you can turn a sheet cake into Strawberry-land using, green frosting,
a cookie crumb path and strawberries made from red jelly beans topped
with green decorator frosting.
Make white flowers with decorator frosting.
Place a small Strawberry Shortcake figurine on the path.

Provide plenty of strawberries and blueberries, served plain or dipped in white chocolate - YUM!

Strawberry Ice
Mix strawberries, lemonade and ice cubes in a blender.
Serve immediately.

Make and Eat Cookies
Use a cookie cutter to make Strawberry shaped cookies before the party. Provide frosting, popsicle sticks and candy sprinkles for decorating.
Tip: place the frosting in clean muffin tins to keep the mess to a minimum. Place the muffin tins in the center of of table where the children can reach.
Variation: if you can't find a strawberry cookie cutter,
make Pupcake the dog  and Custard the cat.

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE PARTY FAVORS
Say "thanks for coming", with special party favors for your guests.
Fill a red beach pail with ant of these items:
packet of strawberry seeds, strawberry jelly candies, gardening gloves and Strawberry Shortcake stickers, pink lip-gloss, or nail polish.
