The first step in planning a pre-teen party, is to involve your child in the planning process. 
Start with a theme, make a list of possible activities and purchase party supplies. On party day, provide plenty of food and be sure you or another adult is around to supervise, but give the kids plenty of space. Work together to plan an absolutely awesome party!

Beading Birthday Party
Decorate with bright colored paper goods, streamers balloons etc. Provide plenty of beading supplies. Make  earrings, necklaces and friendship bracelets. Be to sure have enough helping hands, scissors wire cutters etc. Consider hiring someone to come in and give a lesson.

Basketball Birthday Party
Rent some court space at a local YMCA or health club. Then return home for snacks, cake etc. 

Dance Fever Disco Night
Have your guests dress-up in their favorite retro clothing. Hang a disco ball, light the room with a black or strobe light and dance the night away. Invite a dance instructor to teach
"the hustle" and have a dance contest for the silliest, smoothest and most unique dance moves! You may want to add some Karaoke to the party activities as well!

Go to the mall or design some of your own fashions at home. Ask some friends to help style the girls hair, makeup etc.

Kids will gather for an afternoon, or overnight to tie dye anything...shirts, socks, pillow cases...decorate with tie- dye supplies hang out and enjoy each other's company.

Extreme Sports Fun 
Go to a skate park or rock climbing facility. Provide snacks and sports drinks. Then return home for cake and gifts.
