BABY'S FIRST BIRTHDAY DECORATIONS - MUSIC THEME
Hang plenty of red, yellow, blue or green streamers and balloons.
Keep
the balloons out of the reach of baby.
Cut bright colored musical notes from poster board or construction paper.
Mount them on the walls and hang them from the ceiling. Make a table centerpiece using a baby's toy drum or Xylophone. Tie a
bouquet of balloons to the drum.

You Are So Special
Place a current photo of your baby in a cardboard mat frame with a wide edge. Place the photo with acid-free markers or gel pens on a table. Throughout the party invite guests to write a message to the birthday child. "You are special because...Happy birthday, Why we love you"
etc... After the party place this special keepsake in a
glass frame and hang it in baby's room!

Musical Mix-Up
Before the party make
several cards with one instrument
name or picture on each card. To play
each player id given a card. Then pairs of players are selected so that, for example,
a Tuba and Piccolo are together. Each pair creates a name for their
new instrument. For example: "Piccoluba" or "Ticcolo"
The group gathers again.
Pairs take turns showing their cards. the other players try to guess the
new instrument name that was created.
If you have young children at the party pair them up with adults.

Using your computer, create small (1"x1") photos of your child
with the heading "See How I've Grown! ". Print on adhesive sticker
paper (name tags or mailing labels labels work well)
Cut and attach the sticker to a piece of card stock paper.
Then attach the card stock paper to a bamboo skewer,
or cupcake pick. Insert the photo pick into a small potted house plant.
