JUNGLE  PARTY DECORATIONS
Create a jungle, using green streamers hung from the ceiling and draped
from the furniture. Place stuffed animals where they can be seen and played with by the young party guests. When entertaining little ones,
be alert to choking hazards. Balloons should be placed out of reach.
Cover your table and set with Animal Jungle plates, napkins and cups.
Use a stuffed monkey, elephant or giraffe for a centerpiece and attach
a bouquet of balloons to the stuffed animal

ANIMAL JUNGLE BIRTHDAY PARTY GAMES AND CRAFTS
Select 2-3 games to entertain the children at your party. Keep you space and the age of the children in mind.

PIN THE TAIL ON THE LION
Play this game just as you would "Pin The Tail on the Donkey".
make a simple lion and tails from poster board. Right before
the party add double stick tape and the children's names to the tails.

SAFARI
Hide several small jungle animal toys or beanie toys around the party area house, yard, garage etc. If you like to tell stories, start with a story about an adventure?
Then send the kids off to find their wild animals.
They'll keep what they find and add the items to a goodie bag.

"FEED THE MONKEY" BEAN BAG TOSS
Paint a monkey face on a box using one large brown circle
for the head and two smaller circles for the ears. Use a utility knife
(ADULTS ONLY), to cut a large opening where the mouth would be and add the eyes and nose with black paint.
Now make or purchase 3-4 yellow beanbags (bananas). Socks filled with dried beans and secured with rubber bands will work well.
To play, mark an "X" the floor where the player will stand. Place the "monkey box" a reasonable distance form the "X" and the children will
take turns feeding the hungry monkey his bananas!

THE JUNGLE JUMP
Use a large bed sheet or purchase a GYMBOREE style playground parachute. Gather the children and some adults to form a circle around the parachute. Hold the edges and
work together to move it up and down. Once the children get the hang of it, allow a few children at a time, to go under the
"dome". Then place a stuffed lion, monkey or other animal...in the center and make then hop and jump as well.

ANIMAL SOUNDS GAME
Can you roar like a lion, howl like a monkey, laugh like hyena?
This game is as silly as it gets...instructions >>

HIPPOS IN THE MUD
Don't get stuck in the mud...instructions >>

PUT ON A SHOW
Ask some creative friends to coordinate a puppet show using
fun animal puppets.

PARTY ART TIME
If the children are old enough, add an art project to your party. Provide paint with water books, play dough with animal cookie cutters or animal shaped sponges and paint.  Don't forget the art smocks or large T-shirts!

ANIMAL PARTY FAVORS
Exclusive Birthday in a Box favor sets are a fun and unique way to give your guests a special treat! The Animal Jungle Party favor set is designed to coordinate perfectly with your party theme.

This fun party cup can be created with a yellow or gold paper cup,
party fringe garland, wiggle eyes, brown permanent marker and
sticky-backed craft foam. for quick drying use glue dots, or a hot glue gun to attach features and fringe.

ANIMAL BIRTHDAY CAKE AND TREATS
1. Make a simple sheet cake and frost it with green frosting.
   Top with animal toys.
2. Use a Wilton brand animal shaped cake pan mold.
3. Get creative and make a lion, zebra or other animal shaped     cake.
The FamilyFun's Birthday Cake Book can show you how step-by-step!
Kit's Tip: I always use toys for cakes and centerpieces because
they can double as a birthday gift when the party is over!

Animal Bites
Make your child's favorite sandwiches. Then transform them into them into animal shapes using cookie cutters.

Jungle Jigglers
"Jell-O Jigglers" cut with the same cookie cutters as the sandwiches.

Juice from the Jungle
Pour lemon-lime soda into a large punch bowl. Just before serving, add scoops of lime sherbet it turns into green jungle juice! Or, use soda water mixed with Kiwi Lime Italian syrup - Serve in a clear plastic cup with a cherry or scoop
of lime sherbet.

Kit's Tip:
The party games, supplies and ideas below are a great addition when
hosting your party at a local Zoo!

ANIMAL JUNGLE BIRTHDAY INVITATIONS
Create unique invitations with card stock paper. Your local scrap booking center will have die-cut machines available for your use. Cut monkeys, elephants, lions and other favorite animals. Use a bright gel pen to write your message and party information.. "We're going WILD for _____'s Birthday"
Variation: For an extra special invitation hand deliver a box
of animal crackers with the note attached.

A SPECIAL PARTY WELCOME
Any of the suggestions below will set the stage for a fun party. Keep the age of the children in mind when choosing.

Mom and Dad will clearly be the leaders of the safari when they greet guests wearing a Safari pith helmet. You can find the "real deal" on-line
but a costume shop may have them at a more affordable price.

Transform your guests into little lions, zebras or other wild animals using
one o these ideas...

Fashion animal ears with plastic headbands, hot glue gun and felt.
Cut strips of construction paper or craft foam that are large enough fit around each party guests head. Use a permanent marker to add stripes, spots etc. Secure the ends of the strip with a stapler.
Enlist a teenager, or friend to paint whiskers and a nose on each child, using kid-safe face paint.

These animal caps are easy to make and comfortable to wear.
Painters caps can be purchased at a hardware store for less than $1.00. Use permanent markers to write the names. Decorating is a breeze, if you use painting sponges from a craft store; lions, monkeys, elephants etc.
