Invite all of your "Polly Pals" to this fab-tastic Polly Pocket birthday party with party games, crafts, birthday party supplies and decorating tips!
Planning Your Party
If possible, we suggest you begin planning your party 4-6 weeks
in advance. This will provide plenty of time for online
orders, mailing invitations game and craft preparations. If that's not possible, don't
panic...you can still have a fabulous party, using this guide.
Begin with matching
Polly Pocket party supplies.
Then, add the party games, crafts and ideas provided below, along
with your own personal touches to host the Polly Pocket party of
your daughter's dreams!
POLLY POCKET INVITATIONS

Mail invitations 3-4 weeks in advance. Make your own Polly
Pocket invitations using card stock paper and a flower cookie
cutter for tracing. Trace the cookie cutter on the paper. Cut a
small circle, or use a pom-pom, for the center for the flower.
Trace the edges with glitter glue and write the party details on
the back using a glitter gel pen.
"Hey Polly Pal, aren't birthdays totally cool?"
Please come to my fab-tastic Polly Pocket party
You can bring your favorite Polly Pocket if you want!"
For a special touch, hand deliver invitations tied to a lip gloss
or nail polish.
DECORATING FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY PARTY
Create a festive mood using Polly World as your inspiration.
Decorate the table with
matching party items.
Hang plenty of
balloons and streamers in bright colors; hot pink, purple, bright
yellow and orange.
Fashion an easy party table centerpiece with a bouquet of balloons tied to a Polly
pocket
house or Polly Car. The toy will double as a birthday gift when the
party is over! Add some of your own personal touches if you feel
inclined; beanbag chairs, flower pillows, tissue flowers,
posters etc.
Tips: Draping your furniture with fun fabric or sheets will add
to the decorations and protect your furniture as well!
Variation : Trying to minimize the amount of paper
products you use at your next party, but you still want a
matching theme table?
Cover your table with a white sheet, which is easy for stain
removal.
Use a few of the party items your daughter wants, but hen add
real glassware and a fresh flower centerpiece. Scatter sequins
or matching candies down the center of the table. With your
daughter's help, make flower napkin rings using 2 inch pieces of
a paper towel tube. Wrap the rings in tissue paper and add
flowers made with sticky backed craft foam.
POLLY POCKET PARTY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
A Special Welcome
Upon arrival, give the girls a fun, but simple make-over with the help of
another adult/teen or two. You'll want to have enough help so that the waiting time is
minimal. Then, let the girls select special hats, hair ties,
jewelry or other Polly Pocket fashion statement!
MAKE AND TAKE BODY GLITTER
Girls can mix their own body glitter with this simple recipe.
You'll Need
cup aloe vera gel
fine polyester glitter (any color, available at most craft stores)
One small cosmetic travel container for each girl -the kind you might
put hand cream in with a screw top.
To Make: Fill the containers 1/4 full with aloe gel.
Pour a small
amount of glitter in the container. Provide wood craft sticks
or plastic coffee stir straws to the girls for mixing. Add more
gel until the mix is complete. Close the lid. Decorate sticker labels
with gel pens and attach it to the container.
Polly World Treasure Hunt
Before the party hide Polly Pocket dolls, pets, clothes, toys,
cars, and accessories. Send the girls for a hunt to find the
hidden items. When all of the items are found, allow some time
for playing. The girls will have fun creating Polly World! You
can also create a fun scavenger hunt with clues. Provide the
girls (as a group) with one Polly Pocket doll. Hide clothing and
accessories. Each item will have a clue that leads to the next.
Pin the Flower on Polly
Enlist a creative friend or teen to draw a picture of Polly.
Trace a flower on her shirt. Provide the girls with flowers made
with craft foam, that match the flower on the shirt. Use sticky-tac
or double sided tape on the backs of the flowers. Players will
attempt to attach their flower on or near the traced tee-shirt
flower. Don't forget the blindfold and to turn each player three
times before they take their turn.
Polly Dress-up Race
Provide each player, or team with a Polly Pocket doll, clothes
and accessories. when you say "Go!", players will race to
be the first to get their doll dressed with the provided
accessories.
This party game can also be a relay race, where each teammate
takes a turn and then undresses Polly for the next player.
The first team to finish wins!
Polly Picture Time
Enlist a talented teen to paint a picture of Polly Pocket and
friends on a large piece of cardboard (appliance boxes work
well!).
Cut a hole where Polly's face would be. The girls will
take turns getting their picture taken while peeking through the
hole.
CRAFT IDEAS
Use stick on jewels, glitter glue and gel pens to make any of the
following items:
Decorate picture frames and take a digital or Polaroid
snapshot for the girls to take home.
