Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus Party Supplies
For easy party planning, order Barbie party supplies on-line.
Then, use this free party guide to plan your games, crafts, decorations and activities. Tip: If the Magic of Pegasus supplies are no longer available, using a basic Barbie party pattern, with a Magic of Pegasus
toy as a centerpiece will be just as festive!
MAGIC OF PEGASUS PARTY INVITATIONS
Send invitations 2-3 weeks before your party.
Purchase invitations to match your theme.
Or, you can make your own using cardstock paper and wand or jewel shapes. Cut 3x5 postcards from cardstock paper.
Glue the wand/jewels onto the front of the card. Use a glitter glue pen around the edges of the card.
"Help Princess Anika break the spell and celebrate ________'s birthday!"
Add a sprinkle of glitter in the envelope for a special touch.
If hand delivery is possible, tie the invitation to a Barbie lollipop or lip gloss.
PARTY DECORATIONS
The color scheme for this party is shades of pink, lavender, white and light blue. Cover your table with a matching table cloth or white sheet and scatter sequins all over the top. Make a centerpiece using a weighted bouquet of balloons, inserted in a lavender gift bag.
Add matching tissue paper or glitter tulle netting to the bag.
Hang plenty of streamers and balloons in the party area.
For extra special decorations create the Cloud Kingdom with rainbows, clouds, paper snowflakes etc. to hang on the walls and from the ceiling (teenagers make great hired artists!). Place a few Polar bear (Shiver) stuffed toys around the room as well.
Add a coloring castle to your party. This will provide an activity and a special decoration. Your birthday girl can use this after her party as well. Make your own, with a large appliance box. Cover the box with butcher paper. Cut a few holes for a door and windows. Provide markers for your party guests to decorate the castle.
The Party Begins...
Upon arrival, invite your guests to have their faces painted.
Rainbows, hearts, jewels and snowflakes are easy for a beginner to paint.
Add a touch of fine polyester glitter (craft store) to the image for added sparkle. If face painting is not your gift...mix aloe vera gel with the fine glitter. Apply a small amount to the girls cheeks.
MAGIC OF PEGASUS PARTY GAMES & CRAFT ACTIVITIES
There are a few appropriate crafts for this theme. Select one that will
best suit your space and the age of the children.
Make a Wand of Light
Before the party cut wood dowels into 12-18 inch pieces.
One for each child. Spray paint the dowels white or silver (optional).
During the party cover a work area and provide glue, glitter, sequins and ribbons for the girls to decorate a magic wand to take home.
Tip: Glitter glue pens may make this job easier.
Paint a Sunset
Provide water color paints, paper and brushes for the children to paint a sunset or rainbows just like the Cloud Princesses in the movie.
Brietta's Horse Shoes
Of course Brietta wouldn't wear ordinary horseshoes.
Decorate wooden or cardboard horseshoes with glitter and
sequins to make them beautiful and enchanted.
Pegasus Puzzler
Before the party -- Print out Magic of Pegasus pictures from the Internet or use a coloring book. Attach each picture onto some construction paper with a glue stick. Cut the pictures into 2, 3, or 4 puzzle pieces. Hide the pieces around the party area. The girls each need to find one puzzle piece and then find the the players with the matching piece/s.
Wizard Wenlock Freeze Tag
Play this game just like "Freeze Tag".
One player will be "it" or "Wizard Wenlock". When you say "GO" the girls
run from the evil Wizard. If "IT" tags a player, that player is frozen until another player tags her to remove the spell. Make sure that each player has a turn to be "it" and that each round does not take too long.
Shiver's Hidden Jewel Game
Hide plastic jewel beads (several shapes and colors) around the party area. Give each girl a jewel that matches some of the beads that have been hidden. They must find the matching jewels from the Forbidden Forest and bring them to a treasure chest (decorated shoe box).
Be sure to hide enough for each guest to have several to take home.
Find The Wand of Light
Before the party use poster board to make three pieces that together make "the wand of light". A coloring book or website will help you with the images. Hide the three pieces. During the party, divide the children into three teams. Each team must find one piece of the wand then together the teams will assemble the pieces with tape or glue.
Queen Rayla May I ?
Play this game just as you would Mother May I.
Provide a tiara for the player who is Queen Rayla.
The players will ask...
"Queen Rayla, I am brave and true may I take one giant step?" etc.
Barbie and the Magic of Pegasus Movie
If you have time settle the girls down at the end of the party for a showing of their new favorite movie! Provide coloring sheets or coloring books and crayons to use while watching.
PARTY FAVORS
Fill small baskets or favor purses with goodies; Barbie fruit snacks, Barbie accessories, stickers and a glitter pen. Make your own body glitter party favor with aloe vera gel, fine polyester glitter and a small cosmetic container.
