Alice in Wonderland Birthday Party
Host a fantastical tea party with a host of fabulous characters including the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts and more. Your little Alice fans can enjoy being part of this classic favorite that comes with a host of great party ideas.

Planning and Invitations
You could consider buying a deck of cards from a dollar store as a base for these fun invitations. Or create your own "hats", "tea cups" or big gold watches (like the White Rabbit's) with construction paper. You can also get personalized invitations from Birthday in a Box. Make sure you note that your guests shouldn't be "late for this very important date!" If you can do it, consider holding the party outside just as they do for the Mad Hatter's Tea Party.

Decorating
Find some fun tea cups and saucers to have on your table. If you can make them mismatched, even better. The more colorful and absurd you can get, the better. Find some unusual tea pots at different dollar stores to have at each table (and rather than tea, fill each one with a surprise punch or candies). Hide a stuffed mouse in one of the pots as a game you can enjoy later on. Use oversized playing cards as place cards for the guests: have a heart, club, spade and diamond table. Make sure you have lots of big flowers, and bright colors. Find more card party decorations at Birthday in a Box.
Food
Finger sandwiches are a must at any tea party, such as peanut butter and jam, or cucumber and cream cheese. Create sugar cookies with the words "Eat Me" on them. Make different sized cupcakes: normal and miniature. You could also create cookies in the shapes of the card insignias, or simply heart-shaped cookies. And make sure you use the tea pots to serve the beverages!
Party Games
You can switch up traditional party games to fit this theme. Simon Says becomes Mad Hatter Says. Musical Chairs works well as the guests hop from table to table. Buy a kid-friendly croquet set to play with the kids. Anything with cards automatically becomes an option. You could also have a costume contest with a bunch of clothing from the back of your closet and challenge the guests to come up with the wackiest costume.
Party Favors
Consider fun white gloves, stickers of Alice and the other characters from Wonderland, fancy bead necklaces or cupcake lip gloss. All of these can be found at Birthday in a Box.
