Presidential Placemats

Kids love to dine using in their own placemats and these are even more fun because they’ve been made especially by them!
You’ll Need
A sheet of cardstock or construction paper
Images of the US presidents (the internet is helpful)
Glue stick
Scissors
Markers
Clear Contact shelf paper (optional)
Cut and glue the images of the past presidents on the paper.
I placed mine as a border and then centered a larger image of President Elect Obama in the center.
But of course let your kids have fun by decorating in their own unique style!
Cover the paper with clear contact paper to protect it if you want to use if more than one time.

Now add an Obama napkin rings using the same image glued on a circle of construction paper and then stapled onto a strip of craft foam. Top it all off with a red, white and blue centerpiece of carnations. You can make your own colored flowers by soaking white carnations in glasses of colored water over night. Note that it takes several drops of food color for a deep color change.
