St. Patrick's Day Shamrock Card Craft
Using this easy painting method, your child will have beautiful
cards to
share with friends and relatives.

A super craft project for Scout Troops and classrooms.
You'll need:
Card stock paper
Water Color paints
A Toothbrush
Water
First cut shamrocks in a few sizes, from the paper.
Cut and Fold the paper to make your cards and place
them onto
newspaper or a washable placemat.
Place the shamrocks on the front of the card in
any
configuration you desire.
Add water to the paints and a little on the toothbrush as well.
Then apply paint to the bristles of the tooth brush.
"Splatter paint"
the entire card, by running your
finger across the toothbrush bristles.
When you remove the
shamrock's you will see the reverse print or "shadow".
Kit's Tip: I make stationery using this method and leaves shells
etc. Decorate envelopes to match!
Pot of Gold Craft and party favor
They say at the end of every rainbow is a pot of gold.
Make these little pots for a family treat, scout troop activity
or party
favor.

You'll need:
small terracotta pots
gold acrylic paint
gold wire ribbon or Chenille stem
hot glue gun
green "Easter grass"
gold foil wrapped chocolate coins
How to make it:
Using a paint brush or sponge, paint the inside and outside
of the pot with the gold paint. If you are making more than
a few pots, we suggest an adult spray paint the pots
first according to the instructions on the paint can.
After the paint is completely dry, cut a strip of gold wire ribbon
long enough to make a handle. Attach each end of the ribbon
to the top sides of the gold pot with the hot glue gun.
Fill with green grass and gold coins.
Variations: Children can add rainbows, shamrocks etc to the
outside of
the pot with paint pens.
Handprint Rainbow

Make this St. Patrick's Day craft with a scout troop, or at home
with the kids. When it's dry, be sure to cover it with clear contact
paper or get it laminated, so you can save it for a St. Patrick's day
decoration.
Use a large piece of tag (poster) board, poster paints
and your hands,
to make this family rainbow. Every family member can have their own color or mix and match. Use a blow dryer to dry your rainbow in between colors.
Otherwise, it will look pretty messy! Sign your names and date with a glitter glue, or gel pen.
Tip: Have your poster laminated to use year after year.
