- Jack-o-Lantern Craft

Sitting Jack-o-Lantern
This cute little pumpkin craft made from an egg carton, can sit on a shelf, windowsill or
mantle. A great craft idea for school classrooms,
scout troops or your Halloween party.
You'll Need
Empty egg cartons
Orange and black Tempera or Acrylic paint
Green chenille stems (pipe-cleaners)
Orange and black construction paper
Paint brush
Craft glue
Directions:
Jack-o-Lantern Head
Cut the cup portion of an egg carton.

Paint with orange paint and dry.
Use the black paint for the eyes and mouth.

Arms and Stem
You should be able to make the arms and stem
of your jack-o-lantern with one chenille stem.

Bend the chenille at the middle and push it
through the top of
the
painted and dry egg cup. Then push through
one side of the egg cup for one arm
- repeat for the second arm and curl the
arms with your finger or a pencil.

Legs
Cut strips long enough to bend at the "knee".
Cut semicircles of black for the feet and glue to the ends.
Glue the top of the legs inside the front of the egg cup.
Bend the knees and he's ready to sit.
Ghostly
Treats
1 Tootsie Pop, white tissue paper or handkerchief cut
into a 10x10
square, black yarn, black marker
Place a square of the white tissue over the lolli-pop,
to form a ghost. Tie
with a piece of yarn to make the head.
Use the marker to draw the eyes on the ghost.
Make a Ghost Treat necklace by cutting a longer
piece of
yarn.
