Make this crafty Father's day gift or a special Father's day card for Dad.
You'll Need:
Cardstock paper or Craft foam sheets 5"x7" 
Glue stick or white glue
Memo pad or Post-its ? 
Any of these: 
Acrylic Paint
Markers or crayons
magazine cut outs, photos or stickers
Magnetic strips -optional

First, you'll need to decide how you want to decorate the holder.
You may choose to paint your own design like we have here,
use photos or stickers of Dad's favorite things, like YOU. 
Prepare your materials.
Prepare the paint, cover surfaces, cut images etc.
Glue or paint your design onto the board.
Make the image around the edges, leaving room for the pad. When the holder is completely dry, Glue the pad in the middle. To make a magnetic holder for Dad, glue a magnet or two on the back. Add a short note to the first page, wrap it up. You are now ready to give your Dad a smile!

A Pocket Card for Dad


You'll need:
Light and dark blue paper
3 more pieces of any color paper
3 Craft sticks
Markers and glue

To Make:
1.Using the dark blue paper make a picture of a 
back pocket (as on a pair of jeans). 
You'll want it to be large enough to hold the 
craft sticks.
2.Fold the light blue paper in half, to make a card.
3.Glue the sides and bottom of the dark Blue pocket 
   onto the card, leaving the top open.
4. Make three shapes out of the other colors.
5. on each shape write something you would like to 
   help your dad with i.e. rake, mow, wash cars, cook laundry etc. Or you can write messages like: Give a hug, massage, breakfast in bed etc.
6. Glue the shapes onto the sticks.
7. Place the sticks into the pocket and write your loving message inside! WELL DONE!

Helpful Hint
Older children may want to make pictures more detailed than shapes i.e. cars, tools, computers etc.
You can also trace your hands and call it a
"helping hand pocket"
