#5 Fun With Sports
Use the athletic supplies you have around the house and go to a park or your back yard to play relay races and creative games. Prizes and favors can be collector cards and sports drinks.
Decorations:
Keep it simple with balloons and streamers in the colors matching your child's favorite sport, or sport team. Hang team poster/s that will double as a decoration and a small birthday present.
Activities:
Prepare and obstacle course and skill games using the sports equipment and items you already have such as boxes, lawn furniture, benches and tires.
Favors:
Select one or more of these items...baseball cards, sports drink, sunflower seeds, pack of gum, baseball or basketball decorated cookies.
Cake:
It’s easy to turn cupcakes into baseballs, basketballs or soccer balls using decorator frosting and/or shoestring black licorice.
The Big Money Saver:
If your child is a sports fan than it's likely already own much of the equipment for games and a few posters for decorating. The dollar store has balls, cards and stickers to use as favors.
