Materials
  • 2 wrapped Chocolate Kisses
  • red and white craft foam or felt
  • 2-inch piece red yarn
  • googly eyes
  • 1 very small pom-pom (in black, white, or red)
  • glue
  • scissors
  • black thread
Instructions
    1.
Remove the paper strips form the Chocolate Kisses, but keep them wrapped in their foil.
    2.
Cut a 1-inch tall heart from the felt or craft foam.
    3.
Place the cut-out heart between 2 Chocolate Kisses that meet bottom to bottom, and secure with glue. The Kisses form the mouse body and the heart makes the ears.
    4.
Glue the googly eyes to one of the Kisses near the tip to give the mouse eyes.
    5.
Cut 2 1-inch piecs from the black thread and glue the center of each thread to the small pom-pom. This will be the mouse's whiskers and nose. When dry, glue this to the tip of the Kiss.
    6.
Glue the yarn onto the end of the mouse to form the tail.
    7.
You can even attach a little note to the mouse's tail telling your Valentine how much you love him/her (optional).
Tips

If you want to cut down on supplies, make the mouse nose with a red glitter pen and the eyes, nose, and whiskers with a black permanent marker.

Notes

These Chocolate Kisses cannot be eaten. Make sure your child is old enough to know this sweet craft is just for admiring.
