Did someone say party? I've got the perfect treat for you. The combination of sweet and salty in this colorful brittle is sure to please all of your guests. Brittle is the perfect make-ahead treat and awesome as edible party favors for your next gathering.

Ingredients
  • 4 sticks unsalted butter, cut into 1-inch cubes, plus more for greasing pan
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup small pretzel sticks or any thin pretzels that are small or chopped small
  • ½ cup m&m candies
Instructions
    1.
Butter a large metal baking sheet or line with Silpat liner. Set aside.
    2.
Combine butter, sugar and salt, in a medium-sized heavy bottomed saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth. Bring mixture to a boil stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, begin stirring constantly until the mixture is a golden brown color, about 300 degrees on a candy thermometer. Do not walk away from the mixture as it turns color quickly and will easily scorch.
    3.
Using oven-mits to grab the pot with two hands, pour hot toffee into the center of prepared baking sheet. Allow toffee to sit for about 90 seconds before quickly sprinkling with all of the remaining ingredients. Do not wait too long or toffee will set. Allow toffee to sit for 10 minutes.
    4.
Place the sheet of toffee into the refrigerator or freezer for about 30 minutes. Remove from refrigerator/freezer and break toffee into pieces.
Tips

To store toffee, layer between sheets of waxed paper and place into an airtight container. Toffee will keep for 2 weeks.
