The next time you all sit down for a meal try this brain teaser called Home Jeopardy!® with your kids. It works their mind, develops their language skills, and is a terrific boredom buster. Oh, and by the way, they will think it's fun!
- Instructions
-
1.
Many of the products you keep around the house have two names. You may use the common brand name more often than the real name. An example would be referring to "tissue" as the brand-name "Kleenex". Make a list of all of these brand names as well as real names (more examples below).
2.
See if your child can name or describe the generic term for a brand name. Have them respond in the form of a question like in the game Jeopardy!® Example: "Kleenex." "What is facial tissue?" Or: "M&M's." "What are candy-coated chocolates?"
- Tips
- You may get some different responses. That's fine: as long as it is close, it's a right answer.
