The preserving of autumn leaves is a classic fall craft, and you can get creative with it. Plan this activity a few days in advance to allow for drying of the leaves. You can make a fall leaf bowl, and then you can turn that into a whimsical Turkey Bowl Craft to hold nuts or candy on Thanksgiving.

Materials
  • autumn leaves
  • hot glue gun or glue dots Construction paper or craft foam sheets (brown, red orange) plastic wiggle eyes, paper or permanent markers

Instructions
    1.
    Follow the instructions to make the fall leaf bowl craft.
    2.
    Cut 2 feet, a red wattle, and a diamond that you will fold for the beak. You may choose to use paper to make the eyes as well, but plastic eyes make your turkey a bit more fun.
    3.
    Attach all of the pieces to your turkey body and then use a hot glue gun or glue dots to attach the turkey to the front of the leaves.
