Materials
  • empty cardboard ice cream container
  • colored construction paper
  • white glue
  • string
  • crepe paper streamers
  • hole punch
  • scissor
  • stapler
Instructions
    1.
Thoroughly wash the ice cream container, and then discard the top and cut out the bottom.
    2.
Glue construction paper around the outside of the container.
    3.
Cut strips of crepe paper streamers and attach them to one end of the container with a stapler.
    4.
Use the remaining paper to cut and glue decorations onto your windsock or use markers to color and decorate. Children may find it easier to decorate their paper before attaching it to the ice cream container.
    5.
Use the hole punch to make four holes evenly around the top of the windsock.
    6.
Thread string through the holes and double knot. Tie all four strands together at the top to make the hanger.
Tips
  • After gluing the construction paper around to cover the container, secure the edges with a few staples.
