Tie-Dye Butterfly Craft

Kids love color, and there is nothing better than tie-dye to help them explore and create it in various arts and crafts, like the Tie-Dye Coffee Filter Craft or this whimsical Tie-Dye Butterfly!

Materials
  • 1 coffee filter
  • food coloring
  • clothes pin
  • pipe cleaners
  • glue gun (adults only) or strong glue.
  • magnet or magnetic tape
  • water
Instructions
    1.
    Mix food coloring with water. Be sure the color remains strong!
    2.
    Have your child drop the colored water onto the filter.
    3.
    Scrunch the filter in the middle to form wings. Secure with a pipe cleaner.
    4.
    Glue butterfly wings to the clothes pin.
    5.
    Attach the magnetic tape or magnet, and you're done!
