Are you and the kids snowed in or sad that there's no snow in sight? Making this craft of adorable snowmen in a winter wonderland may be the cure you need for some winter blues!

Materials
  • construction pr cardstock paper
  • white washable kids paint
  • paper scraps
  • white tissue paper cut in approximately 2-inch x 2-inch squares
  • small red potatoes
  • new pencil with a fresh eraser
  • paint tray (meat tray or pie tin)
  • White glue or glue stick
  • scissors
  • glitter (optional)
Instructions
    1.
"Scrunch" up the tissue squares and glue them along the bottom edge of the paper.
    2.
Cut the potatoes in half and select the bottom, middle, and top sizes to use for your snowmen.
    3.
Place a small amount of paint in the paint tray and use the potatoes to print the snowman: in the paint and then onto the paper.
    4.
Now use the pencil eraser to print snowflakes with the paint: into the paint and onto the paper.
    5.
While the paint is drying, tear or cut the snowman features, such a hat, scarf, eyes, nose, etc.
    6.
Use glue to add the features to the snowmen. It's okay if the paint is still a little wet.
    7.
Then add a small amount of glitter for sparkle. That's it! You're done!
Tips
  • Potato prints are great for making greeting cards as well. Cut and fold cardstock paper and print the front.
