Easter is such a fun time for arts and crafts! Try making a frilly decorative Easter bonnet from posterboard, or from a simple paper plate like the one below!

Materials

• paper plate
• ribbon (10-inch pieces)
• hole punch

• glue
• decorative items (lace, bows, ribbons, beads, costume jewelry, pipe cleaner stems, feathers, felt, crayons, poster paint)

Instructions

1.
Make two holes in the rim of the plate with a hole punch before decorating. The holes should be opposite one another.
2.
Lace 10-inch pieces of ribbon into the holes. When tied, these will secure the hat.
3.
Have your child decorate the hat: lace, ribbons, flowers, beads ... anything goes!
