Rekindle an old tradition and surprise an elderly neighbor, relative or teacher with a homemade May Basket. It's a great craft and a perfect way to say, "Happy Spring!"

Materials

• 1 plastic berry basket
• construction paper cut in narrow strips ("curly ribbon" will do as well)

• tissue paper or cellophane wrap
• potted 4-inch pot of pansies (or any outside plant. )

Instructions

1.
Weave the paper (or "curly ribbon") through the holes of the berry basket
2.
Place the tissue paper (or cellophane wrap) inside with the edges above the basket
3.
Place the potted plant (still in the plastic pot) inside
4.
Add a homemade card
