Fall foliage is always spectacular, and a wonderful way to have an art project combined with a science lesson in this Leaf Print Placemat Craft. Bring the spectacular colors of fall into your home with this craft! When laminated or covered with clear contact paper these make a unique fall placemat, perfect for any fall harvest party!

- autumn leaves
- colored construction paper
- 2 stones
- stickers (optional)
- glitter (optional)
- clear contact paper
- Instructions

1.
Go for a walk with your child and pick out some fresh fallen leaves.
2.
Lay them onto the colored paper and place a stone or some other weight
on top of the leaves to hold them in place. Leave the paper/leaves outdoors
in direct sunlight for a few hours. When you remove the stones and leaves,
your child will see the leaf print that was left behind.
3.
Add some coloring, stickers, glitter, etc., onto the colored paper.
4.
Cover the leaf- printed paper with clear contact paper or
laminating material to make a placemat.
