Make cute Paper Jack O' Lanterns to mount on the walls and doors, or you can put two together and hang them from the ceiling. It's a great Halloween craft that will give your Halloween party the right festive atmosphere.

Materials
  • paper bowls
  • orange acrylic paint - kids washable paint will also work
  • green, brown and black paper, craft foam, or felt
  • glue stick or glue dots
  • paint brush
  • scissors
  • permanent marker (optional)
Instructions
    1.
Cover your work area. Children should wear smocks when making this craft project.
    2.
Turn the bowl upside down so that you can paint the outside of the bowl with the orange paint. If you are using acrylic paint, it will dry quickly.
    3.
Cut the leaf and stem pieces and the black Jack-o-lantern faces while the paint is drying. Using a pencil to draw the faces on the paper first will make this job easier.
    4.
Once the paint is dry lightly make black, brown or dark orange lines on the bowl to give it more of a "pumpkin look".
    5.
Use the glue dots to add the remaining features.
Tips
  • You can make some of these Paper Jack O' Lanterns with yellow candlelit faces as well; they look terrific! Give those a try using adhesive-backed craft foam.
