You can celebrate Hanukkah this year with a homemade menorah. The Glass Jar Menorah is a perfect craft for the family.

Materials
  • 8 or 9 small baby food jars (fully cleaned)
  • 1 large baby food jar (optional for the Shamash)
  • modeling clay
  • jewel stickers, sequins, or flat sided plastic jewels
  • thick craft glue or Mod-Podge
  • cotton swab
  • glitter glue or glass writing pen
  • Hanukkah candles
Instructions
    1.
Place plenty of craft glue on the tip of the cotton swab. Dab it on the jar and place the jewel on top. Some children may find it easier to place the glue onto jewel first.
    2.
Decorate the Shammash jar as well. You may want to write a message using glitter glue or a glass writing pen.
    3.
Allow plenty of time to dry.
    4.
Wwork balls of modeling clay in your hands to soften. Place a ball of clay in the base of each jar to hold the candle.
