Dinner is served! Use your summer garden blossoms to make decorative placemats with this fresh craft.

Materials

• pressed flowers
• 2 sheets contact paper (cut to 1" larger along the edges than your construction paper)

• 1 sheet construction paper (choose a bright color that will look nice as a background to your flowers)
• scissors

Instructions

1.
Think about how your want your pressed flowers to be laid out on your placemat. (Don't know how to press flowers? Click here for instructions.) Play around with different layouts and decide on one before moving forward.
2.
Once you have settled on a layout, peel off the contact paper top sheet to expose the sticky side. Lay your flowers on the sticky side of the contact paper in that layout you like.
3.
Lay the colored construction paper on top of the flowers, in the center of the contact sheet.
4.
Lay the second sheet of contact paper on top, trying to match the edges to the first sheet as best as possible.
5.
Press and trim the edges.
