The vibrant colors of fall can come alive in your home with this Fall Leaf Bowl Craft. Use a recycled margine tub to create the ideal autumn decoration, and get the kids involved in making this beautiful colorful craft. Plan this activity a few days in advance to allow for drying and preserving the leaves. Turn your fall leaf craft into a whimsical Thanksgiving Turkey bowl to hold nuts or candy. First follow the directions for the leaf bowl here and then create the turkey leaf bowl!

Materials
  • clean Margarine tub
  • scissors
  • white glue or Mod-Podge Decoupage Medium
  • glue gun or glue dots
  • any of the following: brown colored construction paper, burlap, calico fabric .
  • fresh preserved autumn leaves (directions for preserving here)
Instructions
    1.
    Cut the fabric or paper into pieces of varying shapes and sizes.
    2.
    Apply diluted glue or Mod-Podge onto the tub with a paint brush adding fabric, burlap or paper as you go. Continue with this step until the container is completely covered. Follow with another coat of Mod-Podge.
    3.
    Set it aside to dry (for a few hours or overnight).
    4.
    Now that your bowl is dry you can add your autumn leaves using glue dots or a hot glue gun.
