Now that you've finished your Easter Egg Bunny Buddy, try this Easter Egg Chick Buddy to keep him company. Your Easter Egg Buddies will inspire lots of imaginative play this Easter Sunday!
- Materials
-
- 1 yellow Easter egg pick
- 2 yellow pom-poms
- 1 short piece of yellow pipe cleaner
- 2 googly eyes or black buttons
- 1 small piece of orange craft foam, about 1-inch tall
- craft glue (optional: hot glue, but ONLY if parents are using it)
- scissors
- Instructions
-

Fold the orange craft foam rectangle in half and cut it into a triangle with the folded part being one side of the triangle. This is the beak.
Glue the beak onto the front middle of the yellow egg.

Use button or googly eyes to glue eyes on the yellow egg above the beak.

Glue yellow pom-poms on the sides of the yellow egg to create the chick's wings.
Take yellow pipe cleaner stem and wrap it around a pencil to curl, leaving a straight section at one end of the stem.

Stick the straight end of the chenille stem into the chick's head.
- Tips
- ARE YOUR KIDS OLD ENOUGH? This fun project is best suited to school age kids, or kids who won't choke on the small pieces if they come off the eggs.
- ALTERNATE MATERIALS? I used glittery easter egg picks that came in a package of 5 from the dollar store, but you can also use plastic eggs. I think they'd be a super-fun addition to an egg hunt!
- MORE EGG BUDDIES: Skip the animals and create eggs that look like your kiddos by adding yarn hair and features that match them.
