I like crafts that require supplies I already have on hand. That's exactly how I came up with the idea for these Easter Trees. This Easter craft is uber-simple to make and looks super cute on your Easter table. I secretly did them when my kids were in bed and they were quite pleased to get them as Easter gifts.

Materials
  • styrofoam tree forms (only $1.99 from AC Moore)
  • glue (any glue that dries clear is fine)
  • Tissue paper of various colors (you need two sheets of paper for each tree)
  • scissors
  • self-adhesive foam shapes (I added little carrots and bunnies to the tree; they were $1.99 a package, and you'll have plenty leftover if you buy just 1 package)
Instructions
    1.
Cut or rip the tissue paper into strips approximately 6 inches long.
    null
    2.
Crumple a strip of tissue paper and dab a little bit of glue on it and affix to the tree, pressing and holding it for a minute to give it a chance to adhere. To save time, I put a small pool of glue on a piece of paper at the start so I didn't have to keep reaching for the bottle.
    null
    3.
Repeat until your entire tree is covered.
    4.
Peel the adhesive back off the foam shapes and affix to the Easter Tree.
Tips
  • For the green Easter Tree, I used two different colors of green to give it a little more depth. A pastel-colored tree would be perfect too. You are only limited by your imagination, so go for it!
