Going back to school is an intense time, so make it a bit more fun with this simpleback to school craft: the homemade Back to School Door Hanger. Improve study habits and have fun while making this simple craft. Decorate it in any way that inspires you: pencils, erasers, buttons... Have fun with it!

Materials

• 6 craft sticks
• 2 small pencils (used for keeping score in a game)
• 1 piece of "fun foam" or index card
• fabric paint

• glue
• yarn
• decorations (optional)

Instructions

1. Make the frame using glue and crafts sticks. Glue 2 sticks horizontally and three or four vertically.

2. Measure and cut the fun foam to fit on the four vertical sticks.

3. Use glue or a hot glue gun to secure the fun foam onto the sticks.

4. Add the pencils to the top and bottom of the fun foam, and any decorations you may wish to add. Buttons work well for this.

5. You'll then need to glue the yarn so that you hanger will hang on a doorknob.

6. The last step is to write the note. You can use fabric paint, gel pens or permanent markers. "Shh, I'm studying" "Learning in progress." "Shh, it's homework time." "Shh, smart kids growing here!"
